    • The McLaren Senna destroys all comers at the Magny-Cours GP - 1:42.99 lap quicker than 488 Pista, 720S, GT2 RS, etc.

The McLaren Senna is built for one purpose that is to set the quickest laptimes possible. That is exactly what it does in the hands of the French over at Motorsport Magazine. They tested the McLaren Senna at the Magny-Cour GP circuit and it beat all other modern road cars.

      For the price it better:

Two seconds on the 488 Pista is a nice chunk but considering it is only two seconds for a price difference of over a million dollars the 488 Pista actually looks pretty good in context.

The Senna 1:42.99 is the production car record for the course. It does not look like anything will be topping it any time soon.

Don’t forget that the Pista tested was likely a ringer with about an extra hundy hp.

Prob not the best track for this car. Lap record is 1:11 by Schumi. Let’s see a lap time at Spa before saying it’s not worth it.

Just to be clear I'm not saying it's not worth it but that there is a large price difference to get those 2 seconds.

We'll see it on other tracks hopefully which will add to the data for a clearer picture.

The Valkyrie, Jesko and AMG One will destroy it soon anyway. McLaren released the Senna too early in this cycle. Everyone else already moved beyond this.
