    • VF-Engineering McLaren 720S M840T baseline and Stage One Hex Tuning results on a Mustang dyno - +80 lb-ft of wheel torque

The McLaren 720S responds very well to tuning and it is great to have more results. VF-Engineering sent BoostAddict.com and the McLarenBoost forums their Stage One Hex Tuning results and it is great to have numbers from a Mustang dynamometer.

VF-Engineering does not play around the Mustang settings so their baseline and tuned results serve a great barometer.

As you can expect, the 720S puts up strong figures stock and tuned:

Stock wheel horsepower comes in at 586 and wheel torque at 516 lb-ft.

      Tuned?

653 wheel horsepower and 597 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

Advertised Gains for HEX Tuning Stage ONE: 80-90 WTQ and 65-75 WHP

Actual PEAK Gains (at the wheels):
      80 lb-ft
      67 horsepower

      Actual MAX Gains:
      98 lb-ft @ 4,150 rpm
      77 horsepower @ 5,300 rpm

653 wheel horsepower on a Mustang AWD-500-SE dyno in 4wd mode with load? That is a beast of a car. They almost gained 100 lb-ft torque at 4150 rpm. Huge numbers all around.

There is a Stage 2 tune on the way as well and you can bet VF-Engineering is going to get plenty of road testing data in the meantime.

      * All testing done on 91 octane pump fuel. ECU require physical unlock. VF offers a 24 hour turnaround.
